The KZN Series delivers dependable slurry pumping performance with strong resistance to abrasion and wear. The integrated agitator ensures solids remain suspended, improving efficiency and reducing maintenance.

With multiple configurations available, users can select models optimized for either higher head pressure or greater flow capacity depending on application requirements.

Construction and Operational Design

KZN pumps are constructed using Class 30 ductile iron housings with hardened ductile iron volutes for enhanced durability. Critical wear components, including the impeller, wear plate, and agitator, are manufactured from high chrome iron to resist abrasion.

The pumps feature a semi-open impeller design that allows solids to pass through efficiently without clogging, even in high-density slurry applications.

A double mechanical seal system with silicon carbide faces is housed in an oil-filled chamber, providing reliable sealing and extended service life. Additional protection is provided by heavy-duty lip seals and robust sealing arrangements.

Each pump is powered by a 4-pole motor operating at approximately 1750 RPM. Class H insulation supports demanding operating conditions, while built-in thermal and amperage overload protection safeguards the motor.
