The SF Series is designed to deliver reliable solids-handling performance in high temperature environments. As part of the Fahrenheit® pump platform, it is engineered for continuous-duty operation where both elevated temperature and solids content are present. The design emphasizes durability, heat resistance, and long service life under demanding operating conditions.

Construction and Materials

The SF Series utilizes cast iron hydraulic components to withstand abrasive and solids-laden fluids. The motor housing is constructed from 304 stainless steel to provide corrosion resistance and structural integrity. The pump features an oil-lubricated, double mechanical seal system operating in an oil chamber to ensure reliable sealing and cooling. FKM elastomers are used to maintain performance at elevated temperatures.

Hydraulic and Pump Design

The hydraulic design incorporates a single vane, non-clog impeller that allows solids to pass through the pump while minimizing the risk of clogging. The side discharge configuration supports installation in wastewater systems and guide rail setups. The design allows for consistent flow performance while handling solids up to approximately 2.5 inches.

Motor and Operational Design

The SF Series is equipped with a high-speed two-pole motor operating at approximately 3450 RPM. The motor is oil-filled to assist with heat dissipation and uses Class R insulation designed for extreme temperature environments. Embedded thermal sensor switches are integrated into the motor windings to monitor temperature and protect against overheating. The system automatically interrupts operation when temperature limits are reached and resets once safe conditions return. Seal Minder® moisture detection provides early warning of seal failure.

Model Variations

The SF Series includes multiple models to meet a range of hydraulic requirements in high temperature applications. The S55CF provides mid-range performance for typical systems, while the S75CF delivers higher flow and head capability for more demanding installations. Stainless steel SXF variants are available for corrosive high temperature environments.
