The SVF Series is designed to deliver reliable solids handling in high temperature wastewater environments. The vortex impeller design allows large solids to pass through the pump without direct contact, reducing clogging and wear. Combined with high temperature motor construction, the pump operates reliably in demanding thermal conditions.

Construction and Materials

The SVF Series uses ductile iron for the volute and hydraulic components to provide abrasion resistance, while the motor housing is constructed from 304 stainless steel for corrosion resistance. Dual mechanical seals operate in an oil-filled chamber and use FKM elastomers to maintain sealing integrity at elevated temperatures.

Hydraulic and Pump Design

The pump utilizes a recessed vortex impeller that creates a swirling flow inside the volute. This allows solids to pass through without contacting the impeller, improving reliability when handling fibrous materials and debris. Depending on the model, the pump can pass solids up to approximately 3.5 inches.

Motor and Operational Design

The SVF Series features oil-filled, submersible motors designed for high temperature operation. Motors use Class R insulation and are equipped with embedded thermal sensor switches that monitor winding temperature and shut down the pump when limits are exceeded. These sensors automatically reset once the temperature decreases. Seal Minder® moisture detection provides early warning of seal failure.

Model Variations

The SVF Series includes a full range of models to match different performance requirements. Smaller units such as the SV400F and SV750CF provide compact solutions for lower flow applications. Mid-range models including the SV08CF, SV15CF, and SV22CF handle general wastewater systems. Larger units such as the SV37CF, SV55CF, and SV75CF provide higher flow and head capabilities. The SV1500CF provides a higher-capacity single-phase option for applications where three-phase power is not available.
