The SX Series is engineered for applications where corrosion resistance is critical. The 316 stainless steel construction provides protection against aggressive fluids, while the open vane impeller allows solids to pass without clogging.

Construction and Materials

SX Series pumps are constructed entirely from cast 316 stainless steel, including the motor housing, volute, and impeller. This weld-free design enhances durability and eliminates weak points commonly associated with fabricated stainless steel pumps.

Elastomers are supplied as FKM for chemical resistance, with alternate materials available for compatibility with a wide range of fluids.

Hydraulic and Pump Design

The open vane impeller provides efficient pumping while allowing solids to pass through. This design balances solids handling capability with higher head performance compared to vortex designs.

The pump can typically handle solids up to approximately 2.5 inches depending on model size.

Motor and Operational Design

The SX Series uses submersible, continuous-duty motors with 2-pole (high-speed) configurations. Motors are equipped with built-in thermal and amperage protection. Insulation is typically Class F, with higher Class H insulation available on larger models for increased durability.

Seal Minder® moisture detection is available to provide early warning of seal leakage.

Model Variations

The SX Series includes a range of models covering various flow and head requirements:

• Compact models such as SX08CSS provide lower flow solutions

• Mid-range units such as SX15CSS and SX22CSS handle general applications

• Higher capacity models such as SX37CSS increase flow and head capability

• Large models such as SX55CSS and SX75CSS provide high flow and high head performance
