The KZNF Series combines the proven abrasion resistance of the KZN platform with advanced thermal capabilities. With integrated agitation and heavy-duty materials, the pumps provide efficient solids handling even in elevated temperature environments.

Thermal protection systems and moisture detection enhance reliability, reduce maintenance costs, and extend equipment life.

Construction and Operational Design

KZNF pumps are built using Class 30 ductile iron with hardened volutes for maximum durability. Wear components, including the impeller, wear plate, and agitator, are manufactured from high chrome iron to withstand abrasive slurry conditions.

A heavy-duty agitator ensures solids remain suspended, reducing settling and improving pump efficiency.

The pumps utilize a semi-open impeller design to allow solids passage up to approximately 1.5 inches, minimizing clogging.

A dual mechanical seal system with silicon carbide faces is housed in an oil-filled chamber, providing robust sealing and long service life, even under extreme conditions.

High Temperature Motor & Protection System

The KZNF Series is equipped with a high-performance motor system specifically designed for elevated temperatures:

• Class R insulation rated for high thermal limits

• Oil-filled motor chamber for cooling and lubrication

• Embedded thermal sensors in each phase winding

• Automatic shutoff if temperatures exceed safe operating levels

The Seal Minder® system continuously monitors for moisture in the oil chamber, providing early warning of seal failure.
