The integrated shredding mechanism processes difficult solids before discharge, reducing clogging risk while maintaining consistent hydraulic performance. As part of the Fahrenheit® platform, the series is engineered for reliability in continuous-duty, high heat environments.

Construction and Materials

The SKF Series utilizes cast iron hydraulic components combined with stainless steel motor elements for structural durability and corrosion resistance. The shredding system incorporates tungsten carbide cutting elements and hardened suction components to resist wear. Mechanical seals operate in an oil-filled chamber and use FKM elastomers for high temperature compatibility.

Hydraulic and Pump Design

The hydraulic design incorporates a non-clog shredding impeller system that reduces solids before discharge. This allows the pump to handle solids up to approximately 3.5 inches depending on model size. The side discharge configuration supports installation in both fixed guide rail systems and portable setups, while maintaining consistent flow performance under demanding conditions.

Motor and Operational Design

The SKF Series utilizes oil-filled submersible motors designed for high temperature environments. Motors are equipped with embedded thermal sensor switches that monitor winding temperature and interrupt operation if limits are exceeded, resetting automatically once safe conditions return. Class R insulation is used to withstand extreme heat. Seal Minder® moisture detection provides early indication of seal failure, allowing preventative maintenance before damage occurs.

Model Variations

The SKF Series spans a wide range of models to accommodate different hydraulic and system requirements. Smaller models such as the SK08CF and SK15CF provide compact solutions for lower flow systems. Mid-range models including SK22CF and SK37CF offer increased capacity, while larger units such as SK55CF, SK75CF, SK110CF, and SK150CF deliver high flow and head for demanding installations. Single-phase models such as the SK1500CF provide flexibility where three-phase power is not available.
