The SKXF Series is designed to provide reliable performance in challenging wastewater applications requiring shredding capability, corrosion resistance, and high temperature operation. The combination of stainless steel construction and integrated shredding technology allows the pump to process difficult solids while maintaining durability in aggressive environments.

Construction and Materials

The SKXF Series uses 316 stainless steel for all major wetted components, including the motor housing, volute, and suction cover. This provides consistent corrosion resistance without the need for coatings. The shredding system incorporates tungsten carbide cutting elements for wear resistance. Dual mechanical seals operate in an oil-filled chamber and use FKM elastomers to maintain sealing integrity at elevated temperatures.

Hydraulic and Pump Design

The pump utilizes a non-clog shredding impeller system designed to process solids prior to discharge. This reduces clogging and allows efficient handling of fibrous or debris-laden fluids. Depending on the model, the pump can handle solids up to approximately 3.5 inches. The design supports both free-standing and guide rail installation configurations.

Motor and Operational Design

The SKXF Series is equipped with oil-filled submersible motors designed for high temperature operation. Motors are protected by embedded thermal sensor switches that monitor winding temperature and automatically shut down the pump if limits are exceeded. Class R insulation supports operation in extreme thermal conditions. Seal Minder® moisture detection provides early warning of seal failure.

Model Variations

The SKXF Series includes a full range of models to meet varying system requirements. Smaller units such as the SKX08CSSF and SKX750CSSF provide compact solutions for lower flow applications. Mid-range models including the SKX15CSSF, SKX22CSSF, and SKX37CSSF offer increased performance for general systems. Larger units such as the SKX55CSSF, SKX75CSSF, SKX110CSSF, and SKX150CSSF deliver high flow and head capabilities for demanding installations. The SKX1500CSSF provides a single-phase option for applications where three-phase power is not available.
