The SV Series is designed for solids-handling applications where non-clog performance is critical. The vortex impeller system allows the pump to pass large solids without direct impeller contact, reducing wear and minimizing the risk of clogging. This design improves reliability and reduces maintenance in wastewater systems.

Construction and Materials

The SV Series combines abrasion-resistant ductile iron hydraulic components with a 304 stainless steel motor housing. This construction provides durability in abrasive environments while improving heat dissipation from the motor. Dual mechanical seals operate in an oil-filled chamber to ensure long seal life and consistent performance.

Hydraulic and Pump Design

The pump utilizes a vortex impeller design that generates a swirling flow within the volute, allowing solids to pass through without contacting the impeller. This enables the pump to handle large solids, fibrous materials, and viscous liquids. Depending on the model, the pump can pass solids up to approximately 90% of the discharge diameter, with sizes reaching up to about 3.5 inches.

Motor and Operational Design

The SV Series uses submersible motors designed for continuous duty operation. Motors are available in both high-speed (two-pole) and lower-speed (four-pole) configurations to match system requirements. Built-in thermal and amperage protection helps prevent overheating, while Class F insulation ensures durability under normal wastewater operating temperatures. Seal Minder® moisture detection is available to provide early warning of seal failure.

Model Variations

The SV Series includes a wide range of models to cover different performance requirements. Smaller units such as the SV400 and SV750C provide compact solutions for low-flow applications. Mid-range models including the SV08C, SV15C, and SV22C handle moderate flow systems. Larger models such as the SV37C, SV55C, and SV75C provide higher capacity performance for demanding installations. The SV1500C provides a higher-capacity single-phase option where needed.
