Goulds Water Technology Pumps Models NPE (close-coupled) and NPE-F (frame mounted) are end suction, single stage centrifugal pumps for general liquid transfer service, booster applications, etc. Liquid-end construction is all AISI Type 316 stainless steel, stamped and welded. Impellers are fully enclosed, non-trimable to intermediate diameters. Casings are fitted with a diffuser for efficiency and for negligible radial shaft loading. Close-coupled units have NEMA 48J or 56J motors with C-face mounting and threaded shaft extension. Framemounted units can be coupled to motors through a spacer coupling, or belt driven.

The Series NPO embraces a line of 1", 1¼" and 1½" NPT discharge, general liquid transfer and booster pump application end suction centrifugal pumps. The liquid end construction is of AISI 316 stainless steel, stamped and welded. Open vane impellers are ideal for liquids with suspended solids to 3⁄8" diameter.

The NPO (or open impeller NPE) was developed as a result of Goulds Water Technology experience with the commercial dishwasher market. In addition, it builds on the strength of our NPE market presence and allows us to enter other high volume markets where small solids or particulate handling is required. The exclusive Goulds Water Technology fabricated stainless design also offers considerable advantages over our major competitors in these markets.

The NPO pump from Goulds Water Technology is an open impeller, single stage, end suction centrifugal made of 316 stainless steel for a variety of commercial washing applications. It consists of three pump sizes using 1⁄2-71⁄2 HP motors in a variety of enclosures. Many of the options for the NPE including seals and the vent/flush accessory are also available for the NPO. The casing is a modification of the NPE casing which incorporates a flat running surface for the front of the open impeller. The impeller for the smalles size is a cast 316 open design similar to that used in the ICS. Impellers for the two larger sizes are fabricated 316L. The seal housing and seal are identical to those used on the NPE.

Casing is cast iron construction with tapped openings provided for vacuum gauge and casing drain. Impeller is bronze, enclosed design, balanced for smooth operation and keyed to motor shaft. Impellers are fully enclosed, non-trimmable to intermediate diameters. All units have NEMA 48Y or 56Y motors with square flange mounting and threaded shaft extension.

Goulds Water Technology Models 45HB and 70HB are multi-stage, high-pressure, general-purpose centrifugal booster pumps, using enclosed impellers. Applicable for clear, non-hazardous liquids in general industrial services up to 180°F (82°C). Particularly suited for high-pressure booster services. All models are close-coupled to electric motors containing prelubricated bearings designed for continuous service. Threaded shaft extension is protected by a stainless steel sleeve/coupling combination. All models are equipped with single, unbalanced mechanical shaft seals. Units are shipped completely assembled and ready for installation.

Goulds Water Technology GB Series pump is a portable horizontal multi-stage pump designed for residential and agricultural washdown, misting and general boosting services. The 304 stainless steel version of the GB is used for HVAC, general commercial, reverse osmosis and filtration applications.

Goulds Water Technology NPV and SHV Series pumps are vertically immersed, end-suction designed pumps for general liquid transfer service, machine tool coolant, parts washer, filtration, waste treatment and OEM applications. Liquid-end construction is all AISI 300 series stainless steel. These pumps are not designed for applications requiring ANSI, FDA or NSF ratings and are not recommended for use in highly abrasive services such as grinding. Impellers are available in enclosed and open configurations depending on the model. Enclosed impeller versions of the NPV are fitted with a diffuser for high efficiency and for negligible radial shaft loading. As water flows to your house, it loses some of its pressure to friction inside the pipe. The higher the flow, the more the friction reduces your water pressure. This flow increase can be caused by more homes and businesses on your water main, the size of your home piping system or increased water use in your house. As water use increases, the e-AB3 changes pump speed to keep line pressure constant. Large supply tanks are eliminated and up to 50% of the energy required by a full speed pump is saved.
